At A Glance:

Featuring contemporary dance, improvisational theater and music from around the globe, MCLA Presents! is back with a fresh lineup of genre-defying innovators.

This season reflects the increasingly interdisciplinary nature of contemporary performance with projects that bring together multiple disciplines and genres, from Williamsbug Salsa Orchestra’s arrangements of indie-rock tunes, to Tunisian born vocalist and songwriter Emel Mathlouthie’s melding of rock, trip-hop and electronica, all interlaced with classical Arabic tradition.

From salsa, to dance, to singer-songwriters, to improvisational theater, the 15-16 MCLA Presents! season brings together a diverse roster of Artists all of whom incorporate a mutli-genre or interdisciplinary aspect to their work.

In addition to performances by Williamsburg Salsa Orchestra and Emel Mathlouthi, this season will feature performances by Bridgman | Packer Dance, Jazz pianist Josh Nelson’s The Discovery Project, alternative pop singer DEQN Sue, Vermont singer-songwriter Anais Mitchell and Bojana Novakovic’s Blind Date Project.
