NORTH ADAMS, MASS. — Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) announces two Graduation Information Nights for students who are interested in the campus’s Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s of Education (M.Ed) programs.

These two information nights will take place on Wednesday, March 8, at 6 p.m. in Murdock Hall room 218 on the MCLA campus in North Adams, and on Wednesday, April 12, at 6 p.m. at the Conte Federal Building in Pittsfield.

Both events are free and open to the public.

According to Joshua Mendel, director of recruitment and outreach at MCLA, these informative events provide excellent opportunities to learn firsthand about the prospects for adult learners who are trying to balance work and family life to complete a master’s degree.

Members of the MCLA admissions staff will provide information to those who are interested in the College’s MBA and M.Ed programs. These events will provide opportunities to ask questions and to learn more about what each program has to offer.

Educating outstanding teachers has been a core of the MCLA mission it was founded as the North Adams Normal School, in 1894. MCLA’s graduate program in education prepares students for leadership as a master teacher, specialist, administrator, policy maker, or other education professional.

Designed to meet the needs of the working adult learner, MCLA’s MBA program is part-time, and offers courses that meet in a combination of online and face-to-face instruction. This accelerated program requires a minimum of 30 credits of graduate business courses to be completed in less than two years.

Students will proceed through the program in a cohort model, in which groups progress through their courses together, forming a supportive learning community and modeling collaborative and team skills vital to business and organizational success, Mendel said.
