MCLA DEGREE COMPLETION INFO NIGHT SLATED FOR MONDAY

Nov. 13, 2018
NORTH ADAMS, MASS. — Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) announces it will offer Degree Completion Program Information Night for prospective students who are interested in completing their bachelor’s degrees. This event will take place at 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 19, at MCLA-Pittsfield, 66 Allen St.
Academic advisors will be available to meet with each person and discuss options for completing a bachelor’s degree at MCLA through one of our degree completion programs. Attendees are encouraged to bring prior college transcripts for review, and to complete an application at the event. Prior learning credits are available for work and life experience.

According to Barbara Emanuel, director of graduate and continuing education, MCLA’s degree completion programs create multiple opportunities. “It’s an accelerated program where we offer credit for work and life experience,” she explained. “They take one class at a time and two classes each semester, and can finish in just over two years.”

MCLA’s degree completion programs are offered in a cohort-style learning format. Students will begin their course of study with a group of peers and proceed through the program together.

These programs include a Bachelor of Arts degree in interdisciplinary studies, which focuses on children, families and society for early childhood educators; a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, a Bachelor of Arts degree in interdisciplinary studies in leadership and business; and a Bachelor of Arts degree in interdisciplinary studies that focuses on health and human services.

Classes for these cohort-based programs will be held one night per week in Pittsfield, from 5 to 9 p.m., with online instruction provided in-between those sessions to help students meet the demands of work, family, and their studies.

Please RSVP by going to www.mcla.edu/degreecompletion, or call 413-662-5409.
