Is there financial aid available for summer courses?

Financial aid may be available for matriculated students.  Please complete the summer financial aid application available in the Financial Aid office or online at mcla.edu/aid to access available funds. There is no payment plan option in place for the summer session. For further information on financial aid students can contact the Financial Aid Office at 413-662-5219.


When is my bill due?

Bills for summer for matriculated students will be issued on May 1 and will be due on May 15. If registering after May 15 payment is due at the time of registration.


When is my bill due if I register for class after May 15?

Students are encouraged to register before May 1 to ensure course availability and to reserve their space.  If a student does register after May 15 payment will be due at that time.


What if I have a question about my bill?  

The Student Accounts Office is located in Eldridge Hall and staffed Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:45 p.m. and may be reached at (413) 662-5230 by phone, fax number (413) 662-5105, or by email studentaccounts@mcla.edu.


How much do courses cost in the summer?


Undergraduate and degree completion

  • Tuition: $316.00 per credit
         Student Fee: $50.00 per credit
  • Total for three-credit course $1,098

MBA

  • - Tuition - $224 per credit
  • - Fee - $231.33 per credit
  • - A three-credit, summer course = $1,366

 

M. Ed

  • - Tuition - $172 per credit
  • - Fee - $180.33 per credit
  • - A three-credit, summer course = $1,057

What if I decide to drop a class?

Students will receive 100% refund if a course is dropped prior to the second class meeting or 48 hours into an online course.  After the cutoff point students will be able to withdraw with a grade of W until the midway point but will not be refunded for the course.


Is housing available in the summer?

Housing is available for students who qualify. The 2019 Summer Student Housing Program Application can be found on the Residential Programs and Services  page under Quick Links after March 4.


Are on campus dining options available?

Subway in the Amsler Campus Center is open with limited hours Monday thru Thursday during the summer. Please call 413-662-5239 for specific times.


How do I log in to Banner, access MCLA email, and Canvas, MCLA’s learning management system?

How do summer classes differ from courses offered in the fall and spring semesters?

During the summer semester MCLA offers an assortment of online classes as well as face- to- face and blended courses.  These course are generally six weeks long.  With a condensed time frame, courses are more intensive than a traditional full 14 week semester. Students should expect considerable online and out-of-class assignments.

How do I purchase a text? 

All text books can be purchased through the MCLA Bookstore or call 413-662-5240.


How do I order transcripts once my grade has been posted?
