Student Life: Growing, Learning, Leading, Sharing

College is a place to try new things; MCLA’s Office of Student Affairs is a great place to start. Besides taking care of the basics—campus housing, dining, health services, public safety, and athletics—we make sure there’s a whole world of opportunity for you on campus, including roles in student government, a thriving student newspaper, more than 50 clubs and intramurals, internships, study away opportunities, and more.

MCLA is fortunate to be in the middle of a region experiencing an exciting revitalization. Off campus, there’s more to do than ever before. MASS MoCA, the nation’s largest museum of contemporary art, is free for students, but don’t stop there. Hike Mount Greylock, Massachusetts’ highest peak; see one of your favorite bands downtown; join a local art collective (extra points if it’s run by MCLA alumni); hit the ski slopes, or just take in the beautiful mountain views all around us.

There’s more to do than what we list here (maybe too much to do!), so don’t stop exploring. Take a look at the links below to find more ways to settle in to your new community, make new friends, and discover new passions. We’re happy you’re here!
