What is the difference between a matriculated or a non-matriculated student and what does that mean for someone who wants to take a course at or through MCLA?
Anyone, regardless of their status, may take courses at MCLA. Undergraduate students can up to 24 credits before they must matriculate into a degree program. Graduate students can take up to six credits.
Matriculated Students - have applied and been accepted to MCLA and are looking to start or complete their degree.
Non-Matriculated Students - take classes but are not part of any degree program.
MCLA provides dual enrollment and early college courses for high school students
Dual enrollment provides opportunities for Massachusetts high school students to take college-level courses for free and earn credit for high school completion and a future college degree. Interested students should contact their high school guidance counselor for more information.
MCLA has partnered with Drury High School to provide students with the opportunity
to earn up to 30 college credits for free before high school graduation. Learn more!
