Visiting Writer Series


The English & Philosophy Department brings a renowned poet, fiction writer or essayist to campus each semester, to meet with students and to offer a public reading of their work.

Franny Choi
Choi's books include The World Keeps Ending, and the World Goes On (Ecco, 2022), a finalist for the Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award; Soft Science (Alice James Books, 2019), and Floating, Brilliant, Gone (Write Bloody Publishing, 2014). They are currently the Poet Laureate of Northampton, MA, a member of the Literature Faculty at Bennington College and the founder of Brew & Forge, a non-profit that supports writers, especially of color, committed to imagining radical change. They have a new essay collection forthcoming from Ecco Press in 2027.

Rena J. Mosteirin
Mosteirin is the author of Disaster Tourism (BOA Editions) and Experiment 116 (Counterpath Press). She is also the co-author, with James E. Dobson, of Moonbit (punctum books) and Perceptron (punctum books). She teaches at Dartmouth College, owns Left Bank Books in Hanover, NH, and is the co-editor of Bloodroot Literary Magazine.
