Join us for an inspiring blend of collaboration and empowerment that champions courageous school leadership.

July 5-7, 2024

 

Overview

Leadership Conference 2024 is the culminating experience for the Leadership Academy 2023 cohort.  The conference is open and free to all educators.  The 2024 conference will be held in person in Bowman Hall on MCLA’s campus in North Adams, and remote access is availabale for all sessions.

Keynote  Speakers

Dr. Darcy Fernandes, MA DESE Senior Associate Commissioner will open the conference at 7:00 p.m. on July 5 in Murdock Hall, Room 218.

André Lynch, MCLA Vice Provost of Equity and Belonging will present 7:00 p.m. on July 6 in Murdock Hall, Room 218.

Phil Folgelman, Anti-bias Education Consultant will present at 7:00 p.m. on July 7 in Murdock Hall, Room 218.

Leadership Conference Sessions

Concurrent conference sessions will be presented by members of the Leadership Academy 2023 cohort. Topics range from leading inclusive, anti-racist schools to implementing instructional programs that enhance success for all.  Sessions address one or more of the four leadership standards established by Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s (MA DESE) Professional Standards for Administrator Leadership (PSAL):

  • Instructional Leadership
  • Management and Operations      
  • Family and Community Engagement
  • Professional Culture
