Criminal Justice Studies Minor

Description and Requirements

The Criminal Justice Studies Minor offers students an introduction to correctional counseling and law enforcement based on a liberal arts foundation and capped by a field placement experience.  The minor consists of 18 credits.

Required Courses

SOCI 100 Introduction to Sociology
SOCI 351 Criminology
SOCI 540/ SOWK 540 Internship or SOCI/SOWK 500 Independent Study 
Three Approved Criminal Justice Studies  Electives six credits must be at the 300 level or higher
