Our Orientation program is designed to be your official welcome to MCLA! During orientation you will learn about campus offices and services available to you, learn more in depth information about your academic program, and get the hang of navigating your new home!

New Student Orientation

MCLA is thrilled to welcome you to our community! We care about you and your future and want you to know that we understand the emotions you may be feeling. As one chapter closes in an unexpected way, please know that MCLA is here to help start your new chapter off strong (whenever you are ready to). We have a great deal of things in store to assist you with the transition to college and we’ve been working hard to organize it all.

In-Person Summer Orientation

We are hosting day sessions on Monday, June 21 through Friday, June 25 and Monday, August 2 through Friday, August 6.  All first year and transfer students are encouraged to select a day to join us on campus to connect with MCLA faculty and staff, as well as with some current MCLA Students. Students can find the link to register for their in-person Summer Orientation sessions in their Canvas Course: Kickoff to College 2021. Having trouble gaining access to the Kickoff to College 2021 site? Click Here for instructions.

Each day session will run from 9am - 4pm and students should plan to be present for the full day. Each student is allowed to have one Trailblazer Team Member (guest) accompany them during their selected session.

Our program is designed for our students and their Trailblazer Team members to make connections with campus and various departments around campus.

*Please understand that MCLA reserves the right to cancel or make other last minute programming changes due to emerging state and local guidance. If any changes occur, you will be notified.

Online Orientation Component

We have created an MCLA Kickoff to College Canvas site as a place where you will receive information and complete tasks that will help you be a successful MCLA student. Once you've submitted your enrollment deposit you will be sent an email with information on how to access this Canvas site. Throughout the summer, we will be updating the site so you can connect with students, faculty, and staff and learn about resources available to you.

Welcome Trailblazer Team Members

A student's Trailblazer Team consists of the people who support our students’ success; this includes parents, guardians, family members, mentors, and advocates.

Welcome to the family and the Trailblazer Team! This site will give you some resources to help your student be successful at MCLA.
