Biography

I am a multimedia journalism scholar and educator with both academic and professional experience in
journalism, digital storytelling, and media studies. Before joining MCLA, I worked as an Assistant Professor of New Media and Communication at a university in Istanbul and have professional experience as a TV reporter and presenter. My courses focus on digital storytelling, media convergence, and the critical examination of technology and society.

  • Faculty advisor for The Beacon (student-run multimedia newsroom) at MCLA.
  • Developing interactive digital storytelling projects with students.
  • Ongoing research on artificial intelligence representations in media.
  • Currently working a startup project focused product design, user experience, and service
    innovation.
