PHYS 131: General Physics I Lab 
My research is in theoretical and computational quantum computing. I currently work on quantum error correction and mitigation, and something the field literally calls "magic." In graduate school, I found a way to fold space, like a wormhole, so two points become neighbors no matter how far apart they actually are, letting information "travel" instantly and to specific locations. On top of that, I worked in quantum metrology, using entangled photons to measure things with a precision that pushes right up against the physical limits of what's measurable, the same kind of physics behind LIGO detecting the whispers of gravitational waves that stretch the distance between mirrors kilometers apart by a fraction of the width of a proton. If quantum computing, quantum information, many-body physics, or error correction sound like your kind of fascinating, let's work on something together. It's good preparation for grad school, where you can get a shot at working on physics at the edge of what's known.
