Exhibit Information

“Tell Me What You Learned Tuesday” a performance conceived, written and performed by Tom Truss and co-created and directed by Amy Brentano. The piece is described as an irreverent yet reverential story that revisits a young queer boy’s life through the lens of his adult self. Truss explores themes of family, hope, sexuality and the complexities of growing up queer while portraying the Johnsons, a troubled family of eight.

Using a blend of physical theater, props, dance and monologues, Truss performs all eight family members, unpacking their experiences around a dining room table.
