MCLA’s Radiologic Technology Program Receives Maximum Eight-Year Reaccreditation

The Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts’ (MCLA) radiologic technology program has been awarded an
eight-year reaccreditation, the maximum possible, from the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).

JRCERT is the only accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation for radiologic technology programs. The reaccreditation follows a two-day site visit and program review, affirming MCLA’s commitment to high-quality education and professional excellence. 
“This reaccreditation affirms the dedication of our faculty, staff and students to maintaining the highest educational and professional standards,” said Julie Walsh, program director and assistant professor at MCLA. “It is a testament to our collective efforts and commitment to excellence.” 

MCLA’s radiologic technology program is one of the college’s fastest-growing majors, with applications doubling. The program also boasts a 100 percent pass rate on the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) licensure exam for 2024 graduates with a 100 percent job placement rate for over five years. with many graduates securing jobs before graduation. 

MCLA offers a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology, combining a liberal arts foundation with hands-on clinical experience, preparing students for careers in medical imaging and patient care.
