Effective Fall 2023
Eligible senior citizens matriculated at MCLA in a qualifying undergraduate degree program who meet the requirements listed below are eligible for a tuition waiver. This program is strictly for senior citizens pursuing a first bachelor's degree. This program is not eligible for graduate degrees, certificate programs, or subsequent bachelor's degrees.
To be eligible for the Senior Citizen Tuition Waiver, a student must:
Students approved for this program will have their semester tuition charge waived. However, these students* must pay all appropriate fees related to their coursework. (This includes, but is not limited to, the Campus Support Fee, Capital Improvement Fee, Technology Fee, Student Activity Fee, Wellness Fee, and Orientation Fee.)
*This policy does not affect matriculated students that were continuously enrolled prior to Fall 2023.
Students interested in the Senior Citizen Tuition Waiver must be accepted at MCLA and enroll in an degree program. You may apply online or contact the Office of Admission at 413-662-5410 for further details. A copy of your valid Massachusetts driver's license or Massachusetts state ID card is required to prove your eligibility.
After you are accepted to MCLA through the Office of Admission, you will need to complete a Student Affidavit Form each semester in order to receive your tuition waiver. Student Affidavit Forms are available in the Student Financial Services Office upon request or can be requested online by emailing StudentAccounts@mcla.edu.
