Profile

I love teaching students about the anatomy and physiology of the body and patient care.  In my classes we use a variety of teaching techniques that include lecture, and hands-on experiences.  Students can transfer what they learn to the clinical sites where the learning comes full circle. In clinical students work with registered technologists and actual patients. I encourage students to become lifelong learners and continue to promote the profession of radiologic technology.

I graduated from the University of Connecticut with a bachelor’s degree in human development and Family Studies and then decided to go to school for radiologic technology.  After graduating with an associate’s degree, I worked at Yale New Haven Hospital a level I trauma center until I moved to Vermont. I have been a technologist at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, Northshire Medical Center and still work at Stratton Mountain Urgent Care. I began my teaching career over 20 years ago.
